These are compact plants due to the 'Pygmy' or smaller form of atroviolaceum. Largish creamy white flowerscarrying small purple spots with an attractive purple striped lip.
Do you want an orchid that lasts along time in flower? This is it! Flowers have a lasting power of 4 months so will make a great show plant!
Each pseudobulb is capable of having several spikes at a time.
Water and fertilise this species regularly throughout the spring,summer & autumn. Slightly reduce water and fertilizer during the winter but never allow to completely dry out.
